Im Rahmen des Kolloquiums Motivationspsychologie findet am 13. Dezember folgender Vortrag statt:
„How Hormones shape Facial Appearance, Social Perceptions and People’s Behaviour – Preliminary Findings and a Research Agenda“: (Ab) wann ist ein Mann ein Mann? In the blink of an eye humans can evaluate people’s faces, grasp a person’s gender, and seek to read their face for hints into their personality. Faces are naturally shaped by hormones such as Testosterone and Estrogen. Some people also deliberately inject those hormones to align their bodily gender with their identity – to transition from man to woman or vice versa. New technology has allowed us to study how such physical changes go along with changes in personality. In this talk I will present preliminary findings from my research into faces, as well as a computer algorithm that can be used for future research into faces, social perceptions and behaviour.
